Paw is her stabilizer, her anchor, He tries to temper his wife’s harsh ways and help the children grasp how Maw’s troubled childhood and youth plague her, encouraging ‘God has a way of healing hurts’.
Soon Lou marries, leaving Macy the last at home with her parents. Macy staggers under unprecedented demands. Paw lays a plan before Macy and Maw.
