Cornfield Baby and Other Nature Stories

For younger children. Something interesting is often happening at Raber Acres, nestled at the foot of Stony Mountain in eastern Pennsylvania. Happy surprises lurk in hidden places, waiting to be found by the seven-year-old twins, Wendall and Randall. There are nests in fields and above light posts. There are unexpected discoveries in the woods and yard and even in the incubator! Maybe the most exciting-but not to four-year-old Joanna-is Bruno the bear, who very much likes doughnuts. When the family moves to Texas, Wendall and Randall learn that, even without mountains and forests, there are still interesting things in nature to observe and enjoy. Father and Mother use the opportunities from nature’s wonderful surprises to teach their children basic lessons about God, the loving and kind Creator.
