We planned a ski trip with my pastor and his two sons as well as my brother in law. Two days before the ski trip, we decided to go deer hunting instead on Prince William Sound, on my boat. We should have went skiing. This is the story about that day and the days that followed.
Alaskan coastal waters can be deadly. For seven years I had operated boats on Cook Inlet, the Gulf of Alaska, and Prince William Sound. Then while deer hunting near Perry Island, disaster struck. While slowly cruising the coastline looking for deer, our boat ran aground on an uncharted rock hidden just below the waves. The tide dropped, and our boat capsized into the frigid water. This is our experience that occurred on Dec 30, 2021 and will forever be seared into the memory of all who were onboard.
Hardcover book measures 6″ x 9″, has 48 pages, and is printed on stock photo paper. It is very heavy on pictures and records what happened on the day the boat sank, as a background into Prince William Sound, and the tides there. There is also a little bit of information about the recovery of the boat, as well as some photos of it on the bottom of Prince William Sound.
