At the Head of the Holler

The Troublesome Creek Trilogy takes place in the Appalachian Mountains in the 1880’s.

Lige Pratt has been summoned to attend court in Jackson due to a shooting incident at The Forks. In his absence, his wife, Claire, will need to independently manage their household of six children. He will be away for several days, and they face the potential of getting a new county struck off as well as losing their timber to outsiders.
