An Otter’s Story

The otters are fascinating, playful creatures. They love to slide in the snow, wrestle in pine needles, play water tag, and fish for crawfish. They’re as good at log-rolling as experienced lumberman, and so friendly that they’ll play with dogs and bears-even children! Handsome animals with sleek dark fur and gracefully curving backs, the otters have jolly, vagabond souls and must always be on the move. Natural enemies such as eagles and foxes imperil their travels, but man with his guns and traps brings the most frequent tragedies of all.
