Teodolinda and her family moved to the Zapotal highlands of Costa Rica to find a better life. But instead of getting better, life became drastically worse. Alcohol and anger gripped their hearts until life became a cycle of drudgery, moonshining, and fighting. Frightened, and disgusted with herself, Teodolinda decided to change.
