This book covers the life of John P. Yoder. The story begins in March 1894, at Kalona, Iowa, when John was eight. Soon after the boys were asleep on this cold night, they Pa’s urgent, “Fire! Boys, come quick!’
In 1905 John and his brother Joe went to New Mexico for their health.
Later, John ended up in Oregon, and was bishop in the Mennonite church.
This book has a lot of church and family history, showing the results of many different choices.
There are many stories of family, church life, of accidents, deaths, and answers to prayer.
